Measuring the frames and openings of our home may seem like an easy task at first glance,
but in reality we should be extremely careful during the measurement process in order to get the best possible result.
With more than thirty years of experience and expertise in the field of screen systems,
the IDECO team is here to guide you step by step in the right measurements for the screen you have chosen to protect your space.
We hope we didn't stress you out: The whole process remains very simple and easy for everyone. However, there are some consulting tricks that may not be widely used.
And that is why we are here. So take the tape measure and start with us!
We start with the 1st Width Measurement of the opening.
We place our tape measure at the bottom of the opening, and accurately measure the distance from one end to the other.
Although it is often assumed that this step alone is sufficient to measure the width of an opening, the truth is that we should not stop the measuring here.
So we proceed to the 2nd Width Measurement, where we repeat exactly the same procedure but with one difference:
This time we place our measuring tape in the middle of the opening and carefully measure from one end to the other.
Similarly, we proceed to the 3rd Width Measurement by measuring the distance of the opening at its highest part.
After recording these three different dimensions, we keep the smallest of them all and note this as the correct dimension of the width of our opening.
After we have measured and recorded the correct width of our opening, we proceed to measure the height of the frame.
During the 1st Height Measurement, we measure the left part of the frame that touches the wall, from top to bottom.
Moving on to the 2nd Height Measurement, we repeat the process, this time placing our measure in the middle of the frame and measure carefully from top to bottom.
Finally, for the 3rd Height Measurement, we place our measure on the right part of the frame that touches the wall and measure from top to bottom.
After recording these three different dimensions, we keep the smallest of them all and note this as the exact dimension of the height of our opening.
That's it! The final dimension of the order to place for your next screen is in your hands.
